I have to admit, I've been blessed with fantastic weekends in the last few weeks. Usually, as far as they go, weekends are for catching up on my housework, doing my grocery shopping, savouring my market bought cappuccino and pastries, strolling around the city and basically just relaxing. Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining at all. I'm a loner and doing activities on my own suit me just perfectly. I even have lonely, unfriendly hobbies like er hm, reading, knitting, watching TV shows and talking to myself. Hey - I like my own company!
But in the last few weeks, I have been hanging out with friends and that has been great. Like minds gathering together to discuss all sorts of things over a great cup of coffee and a ball-busting game of pool. As it turns out, we are all pool enthusiasts and we were pleasantly surprised by each other's skills on the table. The games we had quickly descended into a no-holds-barred, slaughter the enemy, show no mercy battle. Yeah, we are not polite people and we are very sore losers! :) That was last Friday.
Sunday turned out to be lovely weather which is a rare thing in Czech autumn, and so we decided to go for a walk. Kiro, with an intimate knowledge of all the woodland area in Prague (in fact, all of Czech Republic) rounded up the gang at Ladvi, which is about as north you can get in Prague. Starting from there, we headed west through the woods, emerged at the top of a bus station, then made our way to the next woods, heading south. All in all, it was a good three hour walk.
By the way, big thanks to Rachel who took the pictures and was kind enough to let me use them on my post. As you can see, she is a brilliant photographer! If you'd like to see more pictures of Prague, head over to her blog at http://guyandgalphotoblog.wordpress.com/
